According to the divine wisdom, for many thousands
of years India has been the land of the heart on earth, giving
much light and wisdom to the earth - even though on the surface
India has led a chaotic and confused existence. Recently, some
of the energy of the divine heart has transferred itself to Australia,
which is slowly becoming a new heart centre on earth. This in
effect means that much wisdom and light will come out of Australia,
spreading into the entire world.
Living in a country that serves as a heart centre
has an effect on its population, many of whom will change their
consciousness to an expanded awareness of a new cosmic reality.
The hearts of many Australians are awakening to the suffering
in the world. Some of the insular consciousness is disappearing,
and many people are trying to make a difference in the world,
not only around them, but also globally. Where before people were
perhaps more focussed on what happened in Australia, and some
only on what happened in their local community, now there is an
openness to the world.
The refugee problem has become a global problem,
as many are fleeing their countries because of political oppression
and a poverty stricken society. Many more people will flee their
countries, as some countries will become uninhabitable due to
changes in weather conditions and consequent drought or flooding.
Australia must show compassion and open its doors
to refugees who are trying to survive, and seek political asylum
and a better life. Why Australia cannot manage the current refugee
problem can only be attributed to mismanagement and lack of vision.
This land (which is about the size of the USA but having only
a tenth of its population) is a wealth of resources. What is needed
is a globally aligned and future-friendly plan that not only accommodates
aims for economic growth and the welfare of big business enterprises,
but equally encompasses holistic and humanitarian principles,
and encourages private endeavours, small businesses, and local
initiatives.
The way the present Australian government treats
the refugees can only have bad effects for the country, which
after World War II has been known for its generous and hospitable
nature towards others. But not only does the Australian government
place innocent people in detention camps, they forget them there
because they refuse to handle the responsibility and employ skilled
employees to check out people's claims. It reminds me of France
a hundred and fifty years ago, when innocent people were placed
in the Bastille and forgotten there due to the whims of a number
of people in power who had the ear of the king, who in turn became
a willing vehicle for their devious and nefarious deeds. I believe
that John Howard is a good man, but someone is making use of him
by putting unreasonable fears into a man who has much goodwill
and peaceful motives for the world.
It is true that there are always people who will
try to enter into another country with a negative agenda or purpose,
but if Australia handles itself with love and humanitarian feelings
in a moral and ethical way, those people will not be able to act
out their hidden agenda, for the good of Australia will overpower
them.
I believe there is a solution for how to care for
the refugees, and before we strangle the whole nation by the boomerang
effect of having the energy we send out as a nation returned to
us, this is my suggestion (and I know that many think the same
way and suggest the same solution): Place the refugees in certain
smaller towns, let them live a normal life while their papers
are being screened, and if they have no papers, interview them
with an open heart and mind and feel the truth of their reasons
for coming. Even though some few of them may leave the town without
permission, it is a good solution - for if we treat people with
kindness and heart warmth, they will willingly cooperate, and
for the most part will stay where they are, until papers are in
order.
In all countries of the world there are appalling
conditions, but one does not expect those appalling conditions
in a country like Australia. I pray for peaceful solutions to
be found as quickly as possible.
